DrFirst records are read-only in PrecisionMind. Update or correct them in DrFirst.

When DrFirst is not connected

You can still open Medical Overview when DrFirst is not connected.

After you connect DrFirst, synced clinical history appears alongside custom records.

Use the structured tables in Medical Overview to review a patient's diagnoses, allergies, and medications.

The tables can include read-only records from DrFirst and custom records added in PrecisionMind.

Review the tables

The Diagnosis, Allergies, and Medications sections each show one clinical record per row.

Manage DrFirst records

DrFirst records are read-only in PrecisionMind. Update or correct them directly in DrFirst.

Add custom medical records

Users with the appropriate permissions can add custom prescriptions, allergies, and diagnoses in PrecisionMind.

Add a custom prescription

To add a custom prescription:

The prescription appears in the medication table with a Custom Added tag.

Add a custom allergy

To add a custom allergy:

Available fields include Allergen, Reaction Type, Severity, Status, and Onset Date. Severity can be Mild, Moderate, Severe, or Life-Threatening. Status can be Active, Inactive, or Resolved.

Important: The Onset Date cannot be in the future.

The allergy appears in the table with a Custom Added tag.

Add a custom diagnosis

To add a custom diagnosis:

The diagnosis appears in the table with a Custom Added tag.

Edit custom records

Users with the appropriate permissions can open a custom record and select Edit .

Save your changes when finished. Updates appear throughout PrecisionMind and are added to the record's history.

Delete custom records

Only the original creator can delete a custom record. Other users may be able to view or edit it based on their permissions, but they will not see the delete option.

Note: Role permissions control who can add or edit custom medical records. By default, non-clinical Admin and non-clinical Owner roles do not have this permission.

You can open DrFirst from PrecisionMind to issue a prescription. To document a medication without prescribing it, add a custom prescription instead.

Requirements

Before prescribing, confirm that DrFirst is connected and that you are signed in to your DrFirst account.

Add a prescription through DrFirst

To open the prescribing workflow:

PrecisionMind opens the DrFirst prescribing interface in a new browser tab. Complete medication selection, dosage, pharmacy selection, and signature in DrFirst.

Document a custom prescription

To document a medication without issuing an e-prescription:

The medication appears in the table with a Custom Added tag.

Important: A custom prescription documents medication information in PrecisionMind and does not replace the DrFirst workflow for issuing an e-prescription.

Authorized users can update custom prescriptions. Only the original creator can delete one.

Clinicians must complete a one-time setup before using e-prescribing in PrecisionMind. This verifies prescribing credentials and activates the DrFirst connection.

No additional action is required from you. After activation, you can open DrFirst and view synced medication data in Medical Overview .

Custom medical records

DrFirst access is required for e-prescribing and retrieving DrFirst clinical data. With the appropriate permissions, you can still add custom prescriptions, allergies, and diagnoses directly in PrecisionMind.

PrecisionMind labels these records Custom Added to distinguish them from DrFirst data.

Important: Adding a custom prescription documents the medication in PrecisionMind. It does not issue an e-prescription through DrFirst.
