External Cues
External Cues: These are specific situations, places, objects, or people that trigger anxiety, discomfort, or obsessive thoughts-examples: public restrooms, touching doorknobs, driving near a school.

These are thoughts, images, urges, or bodily sensations that bring on fear or discomfort. Examples: “I might hurt someone,” a mental image of violence, a tight chest feeling.

Feared Consequences
Feared Consequences are the specific outcomes you fear will happen if you don’t engage in a ritual or avoid a trigger. These may include: External harm (e.g., “I’ll get sick if I touch a doorknob”) Internal harm (e.g., “If I have this thought, I’m a bad person”) Long-term emotional consequences (e.g., “I’ll feel anxious forever if I don’t act on this urge”)

Avoidance Behaviors
Avoidance Behaviors - These are actions you take to avoid feeling anxious or triggered. This could mean physically avoiding something or mentally distracting yourself. Examples: avoiding crowds, not using certain words, mentally reviewing past events.

Rituals
Rituals - These are behaviors or mental acts you perform to reduce anxiety or prevent something bad from happening. They may be physical (washing hands, checking locks) or mental (praying, counting, reviewing).
